The show proudly features local artists who are invited to perform live from the WHRV studio.

The ocean, the bay, the rivers. For centuries, the water bodies around Coastal Virginia have helped it grow and thrive.

Now, they’re a threat.

It's no longer a question of if some areas will go underwater, but when. People's homes, livelihoods and lifestyles are at risk.

At A Crossroads explores how communities are grappling with this reality.

Throughout the year producers from Another View and reporters from the WHRO Newsroom have been exploring unequal access to basic public services—like education—for certain demographics, and how it affects the local community.

In our most recent event on this topic, moderator Barbara Hamm Lee led a conversation with several distinguished guests and members of the community.

Watching America invites listeners on a quest to examine and understand the process in which organizations, groups, and individuals ‘do what they do’. Why do we cry? What is financial discrimination? Are too many ‘options’ resulting in an over-stressed population? And when ‘exactly’ did country music stop being country music?

Hosted by British born host Dr. Alan Campbell, Watching America combines interviews, engaging audio, and deep dive talks in to our local and national culture through the eloquent and ever-curious lens of a ‘Brit’ who has spent over two decades ‘figuring it all out’; Watching America.
